About This Project

The city was buzzing when hometown hero and Olympic swimmer Lilly King won her first two gold medals in Rio. We immediately began planning a feature about Lilly that would appear in the September/October issue. Chatting with Lilly’s family and friends, as well as Lilly herself, was a fantastic opportunity and learning experience. I gathered and organized materials from many different sources to design this scrapbook-like feature, incorporating candid photos, quotes, and fun facts.
